Good Shepherd Care acquire Sholden Hall with the support of Chandler & Co.
Stellamary and Jacob Georgy are the new owners of Sholden Hall, a converted mansion set in 1/3 acre in Deal, Kent. It is registered for 27 dementia and elderly residents. Stella Mary is a registered nurse and an experienced care home manager with vast experience in senior care management
Liz Woollett, Director of Chandler and Co, first spoke to the buyers in 2019 and quickly helped them determine their funding position. Unfortunately, the pandemic delayed their plans but in 2021 they returned in earnest and Liz was able to reassure the selling agent of their buying power resulting in an early viewing.
Liz Woollett said “It was a pleasure to work with Mr and Mrs Georgy, we were happy to help them in the early stages in building their profile with the selling agents to find the right business, introducing them to trusted Care Sector professionals in our network and keeping in close contact with all parties throughout the process to secure the completion of Sholden Hall. We wish them every success for the future and look forward to working together again.”
Going through the process of acquiring Sholden hall following the pandemic posed a number of different challenges, but with the support of Chandler & Co and fellow Buyacarehome and Ownacarehome partners, Jex Capital Allowances, Royds Withy King, Bishop Fleming and Fulcrum, the process was managed successfully throughout.
Stella Mary commented “A huge special thanks for all Chandler & Co’s assistance and support. Great to work with Liz and Leigh on acquiring Sholden Hall Residential Care home in Deal! Thanks to Chandler & Co for being there as a help, support, and voice for over 14 months throughout the long sale process, for being so kind & reassuring. It was always a comfort to contact Liz and Leigh out of hours at any time to go through any concerning matters as and when they arose during all through the transactions. We are delighted and would like to recommend Chandler & Co to anyone considering buying a care home in the future.”
