Grace House Care Home in Farnham has been purchased by experienced care home operators Ashley & Julian Jones.

Ashley will be the registered manager and hands on director of the home.  It is a well-established care home registered for elderly and dementia care residents with 21 single bedrooms.

Ashley Jones, a qualified social worker, has a wealth of care and care home experience.  He has been working alongside the manager in St Clare’s House in Hull.  Together they have developed knowledge in the private market, improved cost effectiveness, profitability and the home’s value.  Julian is the director of St Clare’s which they have owned since 2015; it is registered for 29 elderly and dementia care residents.

Mark Hickman, a Director of Chandler & Co who arranged the funding for the purchase of Grace House and also the refinance of St Clare’s commented, “It has been a pleasure to work with Ashley and Julian on acquiring their second care home.  Grace House is a good additional given its location and potential to add further beds in the future.  Having worked with both for the last few years I have no doubt they will acquire further homes given their extensive care knowledge and business background.”

Ashley & Julian said, “Thanks to Mark & Leigh at Chandler & Co for their help with all the negotiations.  Without their support through the whole process, we would not have managed to complete on this deal.”

Manchester commercial law firm Kuits, which works with a large number of care home owners nationwide, provided comprehensive legal and commercial advice on the acquisition. Partner Stephen Lopeman advised on the lease requirements for the property, while Senior Associates Sandra Crichton and Helen Mather, together with solicitor Sheridan Edge, advised on the corporate elements of the transaction.
